Our guide will meet you at the hotel lobby around 8.30 AM. On the way to The Mutianyu Great Wall, if time permits, we can stop to take photos at the "Bird's Nest"– the Beijing National Stadium that hosted the 2008 Summer Olympics. After arriving at the Great Wall, you can take time to marvel at this wondrous structure and the surrounding hillsides while canvassing the watch towers. Mutianyu is less crowded than the more famous Badaling. You can either choose to hike up the walk or use the cable car instead. We will explore the wall for roughly 2 hours before having lunch at a local Chinese restaurant. After exploring the Great Wall, we'll head to the sacred Ming Tombs to discover the burial grounds of ancient Ming emperors. Marvel at three of the excavated tombs and hear of the extravagant lives led by the mausoleum’s inhabitants. Relax during the journey back to your hotel.

If you chose to explore the Summer Palace instead of the Ming Tombs, we will visit the biggest imperial garden - The Summer Palace. It is a World Heritage Site and is renowned for its landscapes and architecture. After completing visiting the Summer Palace we will head back to your hotel.
